Workshop

Viure l'art («Living Art») is a programme of art workshops built around different artistic movements or artists. The aim is for pupils to experiment, play and enjoy making their own works. After a very basic introduction to the movements and artists, the goal is to gain confidence with different materials, media and visual skills, and to spark an interest in art.

Painted emotions
Artist: Paco Merino (1948-2004)
We get to know and value our own art and that of others, and the art and culture around us.
We meet Paco Merino, a Granollers artist of great artistic sensitivity.
We look at his original work in the art collection of the Museu de Granollers.
We experiment with the actions specific to each material and technique.
We work with his art on the basis of our own experience.
Activity: painting on cotton canvas
We paint an exciting, expressive picture using very particular techniques and original materials.
Activity: painting
For the upper years of primary school

Viure l'art at school

Painting emotions
Artist: Paco Merino (1948-2004)
We look at an artist with a strong personality who constantly experimented with different techniques and forms of expression. Simple, cheap, everyday materials are central to his work. Playing with textures, colours and shapes, he shows us an artistic and creative emotion of great sensitivity.
We paint, imagine and express ourselves, making a seascape on cotton canvas.
We assess and discuss the results.
Activity: painting
Length: 2 hours
For primary school
