Self-portrait of the artist (bald from chemotherapy) as a merino sheep, hence the wordplay in the title. Begun in Maó and finished during his convalescence at the home of his brother Pedro. It is the original piece for the later portfolio of lithographs titled "Periodo de Averiguaciones". A black-and-white printer's proof exists.
