Untitled, between 2000 and 2001, graphite and acrylic, Paco Merino

Untitled

between 2000 and 2001 · Ref. 0502O

All five works share a richness of detail, the use of pointillism and a predominance of greens, pinks and lilacs. The first shows a dense forest with many compositional bands in which animals can be glimpsed. The second has a female nude on the right who seems to have her feet in water or a puddle (possibly a reference to Venus), and a smaller, stylised figure on the left. The third shows ground in strips, like a cultivated field. The fourth has a green-eyed dog at the centre and a stylised palm or shrub on the right, mainly in maroon and green, with pointillism in blue, yellow and green. In the fifth, mainly in «military» green, a standing man wearing a barretina stands out clearly at the centre, with pointillism in yellow.
